On the stage (runway, stairs etc., depending on the inetrior) there a white cloth imitating the stage. Accompanied by the music of “Pink Floyd", “The Wall" album, the artist quickly paints the cloth. In front of the audience it becoms a fairy tale town. The audience’s exitement are warmed up by a fast, almost instantaneous work of the artist. By the time the work is almost complete, the cloth starts moving. The movement is produced by the girls that are behind the cloth. They are not seen yet, only their silhouettes, parts of body are as if they are pressed into. They move synchronously to the beat. The artist ends painting the cloth, finishes up the details. All above mentioned is just a background and doesn’t require a very close attention of the audience.
At about 25th minute of the show one of the parts of the cloth suddenly tears up. A new musical composition (the “Bond” band) starts and everybody’s attention is focused on the girl who comes out of the hole and demonstrates its artistic image. The music is playing, the girl is dancing and the artist is covering the girl’s body with pictures. Two actors assist the artist, one of them holds a jug with water, another one – a tray with paints and brushes. Three more girls will come out, one after the other, each of them representing one’s own style, image and original body art painting. As soon as the whole composition is completed, each girl demonstrates “her” picture to the audience. Each of the works by Kustanovich represents the image of each of the girls.
The author and performer of the project is artist Dmitry Kustanovich.
The assistants are Sergey Sharangovich and Viktor Molchan, actors of the State Belarusian Youth Theatre.
The choreography is by a famous Belarusian choreographer Marina Dudareva.
